This weekend, instead of staying home and writing a new WOW post as I normally do, I had the privilege of attending a wedding in the countryside of my new adopted country, Mexico.
So rather than attempt to describe in words what I saw and experienced, I’ll share with you a handful of the more than a hundred photos I took of the occasion — in an effort to make you feel you too where there with me.
News, views, reviews and interviews worth factoring into your life.

LOVED the pictures! It really gives one a taste of Old Mexico. Hope you got to dance.
Wish I could say I DID dance, Helaine, but as it happened I developed a horrendous headache (the music was brain-splitting-loud) and had to go to another house and lie down. Mexican wedding celebrations, it turns out, are not for the faint-hearted or faint-headed!
Thanks, Bonnie. Enjoyed your share.
Thanks so much, Pat!
Muchas gracias, Kim! So glad you liked the pics.
What a beautiful peek into a joyful Mexican wedding. Thanks for sharing your experience. And Congratulations to the young couple.
Thank you, Theresa. I’m so happy to have been able to take WOW readers along.
What a wonderful experience! Loved seeing the photos.
I’m half way through your charming novel and enjoying how amazingly talented you are!!!
Well, Kate, you’ve just made my day! Muchas gracias and big abrazos! — xx
Adorable and beautiful. Although I once tossed a
lemon at a mariachi band that hounded me ( and date….Claudia ) at dinner. I had consumed a few margueritas.
Ha! I’m sure mariachis are used to tequila-fueled behavior, Ted.
Lucky you, Bonnie! What a taste of beautiful Mexican culture, complete with beautiful homemade wedding cakes and vaqueros on horseback!
Yes, Barb, you’re so right. I did feel extremely lucky to attend this traditional (ranch-style) Mexican wedding. And I felt so happy to be able to share it (WOW-style) with my far and near friends. — xx
What fun to vicariously enjoy the wedding through your fine photos! Thanks, Bonnie. And I’m looking forward to your being in Taos September 16th. See you then!
Thank you, Marge dear. I’m so happy you’ll be able to make it to my SOMOS reading on the 16th! See you then. — xx
